I am the South Area Commander, with responsibility for policing across Cambridge City, South Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, and East Cambridgeshire, working closely with communities and partners to keep people safe.

I have been a police officer for 24 years and have worked in Cambridgeshire my whole career. I have been fortunate to hold a wide range of operational and leadership roles, including frontline neighbourhood policing, response policing, custody management, and partnership-based prevention work.

Over the last two years I have served as Superintendent / Head of Prevention and Custody, where I’ve helped shape neighbourhood policing, police custody, and multi-agency work with councils, health services, and voluntary organisations. My recent work has included oversight of anti-social behaviour action plan, neighbourhood guarantee, hotspot action fund, serious violence reduction duty, mental health demand, youth justice, and safeguarding vulnerable people.

As South Area Commander, I want to make a positive and lasting difference by ensuring policing remains focused on the needs of local communities. I am committed to responding quickly when you need us, being visible and accessible. I am committed to listening to residents and to addressing the issues that matter most to people where they live. I believe that prevention, early intervention, and strong local relationships are key to keeping communities safe, building trust, and improving confidence in policing.

I currently lead the Neighbourhood Policing teams across the Southern Policing Area of Cambridgeshire Constabulary. My portfolio includes oversight of dedicated teams in East Cambridgeshire, South Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Cambridge City, where I lead a committed group of inspectors, sergeants, police constables and PCSOs focused on tackling crime and building stronger, safer communities.

I began my policing career in Peterborough and then spent 15 years in specialist operations, including Armed Policing, Roads Policing, Dog Unit and Operational Support, interspersed with operational leadership roles across all ranks within the Southern Area of the county. This breadth of experience has given me a strong operational foundation and a clear understanding of how specialist capabilities and neighbourhood policing work best when they are fully aligned.

Community policing remains at the heart of what I want to achieve. I passionately believe that the most effective way to prevent crime, protect the vulnerable and reduce harm is through close collaboration with communities, local authorities and partner agencies. My teams are focused on delivering visible, proactive and intelligence led policing, with a relentless focus on prevention, problem solving and meeting victims’ needs.

While the challenges facing our communities continue to evolve, one thing remains constant: the public expects a police service that is responsive, fair and compassionate. I am proud to lead officers and staff who demonstrate those values every day.

I remain fully committed to creating a safer Cambridgeshire and to ensuring neighbourhood policing continues to sit at the heart of everything we do — creating safer spaces for people to live, work and enjoy their communities, supported by engaged and visible policing teams who prevent harm and pursue those who cause it.

I am the Inspector for East and South Cambs, with 28 years of experience in policing across a variety of roles. For the past three-and-a-half years, I have proudly served as a neighbourhood inspector, focusing on building strong community relationships and tackling local issues head-on. I am deeply committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the communities I serve, working closely with partners and residents to address concerns, prevent crime, and support those in need. My approach is rooted in visibility, engagement, and delivering a lasting, positive impact across East and South Cambs.

I first joined Cambridgeshire Constabulary in 2009 as a Special Constable in Cambridge City. In 2012 I joined as a full time constable spending the next couple of years as a response PC at Sawston, Histon, Cambridge and finally Cambourne before joining the South Cambs Impact team where we dealt with everything from drug dealing and burglaries to human trafficking and slavery.

In 2017 I moved to Huntingdon response where I spent the next three years on the frontline dealing with emergency calls. During this time, I also trained to be a part of the CBRN Specialist response team dealing with all matters involving chemical, biological, radioactive, nuclear and explosives to an advanced level. In 2020 I took the role of response Sergeant where I have remained until joining the Neighbourhood Policing team in 2025. My areas of strength are in tackling acquisitive crime and drug related issues; however, I am invested in long term problem solving and tackling high harm offending. I am also a CBRN tactical advisor for Beds, Cambs and Herts often dealing with illicit drug laboratories, chemical exposures and a wide range of incidents across the three counties.

I began my career with Hertfordshire Police in 2003 as a response officer. In 2008, I successfully passed the sergeant’s exam and went on to lead various operational teams. My early supervisory roles included managing tactical units focused on high-priority arrests, warrants, manhunts, and targeted investigations—such as a successful purse-dipping operation aimed at repeat offenders. I also played a key role in prisoner handling, overseeing investigative planning, gatekeeping, and case progression.

In December 2009, I transferred to Cambridgeshire Constabulary, where I served as a Response Sergeant until 2020. During this time, I led a team of 20 officers, covering half the county and ensuring effective frontline policing. I also completed two stints as a custody sergeant, gaining valuable experience in detainee management and legal compliance.

Since 2020, I have been serving as a Neighbourhood Sergeant in South Cambridgeshire. My current role focuses on addressing local priorities, coordinating proactive operations, organising anti-social behaviour patrols, and working closely with high-harm offenders to reduce community risk.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Cottenham, Waterbeach, Histon, Impington, Fen Ditton and Milton.

I have worked for Cambridgeshire Police for more than 15 years as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) and now as a PC.

Since I joined the force, I have worked on different departments for short attachments. However, for most of my policing career, I have been part of the South Cambs neighbourhood policing team.

My main role is developing intelligence provided by the community, visiting vulnerable addresses, carrying out proactive patrols in hotspot areas, targeting offenders and working with partner agencies to help solve local issues.
One of the most critical functions for me as a community officer is crime prevention. However, prevention does not solely rely on observation or deterrence. It is rooted in relationships. By cultivating strong connections with residents, listening actively to their concerns, and remaining visibly present, it deters crime through their very integration into daily community life.

Beyond crime prevention, investigations, intel gathering, and responding to calls for service, I play an essential educational role in the community. Whether through school visits, workshops, or local meetings, I work with passion to educate residents on issues ranging from personal safety and conflict resolution to laws and civic responsibilities.

Moreover, in today’s complex social landscape, I often find myself working with partner agencies to address broader societal issues such as mental health, substance abuse, homelessness, domestic violence, and safeguarding the vulnerable.

I am the safer schools police officer for East and South Cambridgeshire. I joined Cambridgeshire Constabulary as a police officer in 2009. I spent a couple of years as a response officer, followed by a short stint on neighbourhood policing in Peterborough City Centre, before joining the Roads Policing Unit where I stayed for seven-and-a-half years.

In 2019 I started a five-year career break from the police. During this time, I worked in a school in their Learning Support department. Having enjoyed this time so much, upon my return to Cambridgeshire Constabulary I applied for the role of Safer Schools police officer. I wanted to return as a police officer but also continue supporting young people navigate an ever-changing world. I see real value in giving children a voice, listening to their needs and providing ongoing support to those most vulnerable. My aim is to build positive relationships with students and give them the confidence and knowledge to be successful.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Sawston, Linton, Fulbourn, Hauxton and Great Shelford.

I have worked for Cambridgeshire Constabulary for nearly 20 years. I started my career out of Sawston police station as a PCSO for two-and-a-half years. I thoroughly enjoyed this role covering eight villages where I focused on getting to know the community, building intelligence whilst addressing low-level crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.

I then joined as a regular constable in 2008. After my initial training I was posted into Cambridge City where I was a response officer dealing with 999 calls. I did this role for ten years working out of Cambridge City and South Cambs police stations. This was an exciting role where every day was different dealing with a range of incidents from road traffic collisions to serious assaults and public order. After this I came back to Sawston as a neighbourhood officer. Part of my current role is to engage with the local community, carry out proactive patrols in hotspot areas, gather and submit intelligence to develop warrants and work with various agencies to help safeguard the vulnerable. I attend local schools and village colleges where I aim to educate children about crime. I hold ‘coffee with a cop’ events in the area where it is an opportunity for the public to meet us and express their concerns where we will look to act on the information provided.

I am a response and initial trained pursuit driver. I am also trained in Method of Entry.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Northstowe, Bar Hill, Papworth, Longstanton, Over, Swavesey and Orchard Park.

I joined the police in 2020 through the Police Now programme. I’m currently part of the South Cambridgeshire neighbourhood team, where my main focus is working closely with local communities and partner agencies. My current role focuses on proactive work using community led policing to tackle drug dealing and anti-social behaviour. So far in my neighbourhood policing career, I have met a lot of members of the community, and I look forward to meeting many more when out on patrol.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Melbourn, Meldreth, Bassingbourn, Harston, Haslingfield, Gamlingay, Great Chishill, Little Chishill and Foxton.

I began my career with Cambridgeshire Constabulary in 2008 as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) based at Linton police station. I was responsible for covering the Fulbourn sector of South Cambridgeshire before being the first officer to transition to the newly established Cambourne Police Station in 2010.

I served as a PCSO there until May 2021 covering the Melbourn and Bassingbourn ward. During this time, I developed a deep understanding of the area and built strong relationships with the local community. I then progressed to the role of PC. After completing my initial training and gaining experience on shift, I returned to Cambourne to continue serving a community I know exceptionally well. I work closely with partner agencies to proactively address local issues and maintain strong community ties, which are vital to effective policing.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Cambourne, Bourn and Caldecote.

I have been a police officer for five years. I have spent the entirety of my albeit short career in frontline policing, with just over four years experience as a neighbourhoods officer.
I work within the South Cambs neighbourhoods team where we tackle issues such as drug dealing, harassments, hate crimes, anti-social behaviour among a wide variety of issues.

Throughout my time in neighbourhoods, I have developed lots of great contacts within the community, I strive to be out and speaking to the residents of the district as often as possible and help bring a voice to the villages of South Cambridgeshire.

Working as part of the South Cambs team is very rewarding and enables me to develop and use a wide range of policing skills.

I joined the police in 2007 and for the past 18 years I have been based at Sawston Police Station. I am lucky to have been based at the same station for my entire career to date. I believe I must be one of the longest serving PCSO’s in Cambridgeshire. I was proud to be voted PCSO Of The Year in 2023.

I have seen many changes, but my core role has always remained the same. I have built up many contacts and this helps me to provide a reassuring presence in the community. I can help the regular police officers with information/intelligence to enhance their enquiries when investigating crime and anti-social behaviour issues.
I have regular contact with local schools, colleges, Parish Councils, shops and businesses.

Since November 2024 I have been semi-retired which sees me working reduced hours, but I still strive to deliver the service I always have.

I specialise in school engagement and regularly visit schools to deliver presentations and talks on knife crime awareness, anti-social behaviour, friend relationships, online safety, bullying and more. I also visit pre schools to assure the police are here to help people, thus looking for children to gain trust in the police from a very young age.

I have been a PCSO within South Cambridgeshire for 19 years, providing a familiar and trusted presence across the villages. Since joining the force, I have worked to build safer, stronger communities through proactive engagement and visible policing.

A key part of my role has involved regular anti-social behaviour patrols, helping to deter crime and reassure residents. I also play a vital role in youth engagement, delivering impactful school talks and providing early intervention support to students at colleges, fostering positive relationships and guiding young people away from potential harm.

Recognising the power of community collaboration, I have helped establish Neighbourhood Watch schemes across several villages, empowering residents to take an active role in local safety. I have also successfully mediated and resolved neighbour disputes, ensuring peaceful resolutions and maintaining community harmony.

I bring more than 28 years of experience working with Cambridgeshire Constabulary, where I have developed a strong track record in community engagement and problem-solving.

I work closely with partner agencies, taking an impartial and collaborative approach to addressing local issues. A key part of my role involves visiting local primary and secondary schools. I believe it is vital to build positive relationships with children from an early age, helping them understand that the police are here to support and guide them.
Over the past decade, I have also focused on supporting older and more vulnerable members of the community. I regularly deliver talks and host drop-in sessions on topics such as rogue trading and scam awareness. I am passionate about helping people feel safe in their homes and communities.

I enjoy engaging directly with residents at events like "Coffee with a Cop," where I listen to their concerns and offer support. I strive to be approachable and visible within the South Cambs neighbourhood, fostering trust and open communication.
