If you're a solicitor or an insurance agent, you can apply on behalf of your client for a copy of any existing collision reports the police have made or hold.
You can apply for disclosure if you are representing yourself in civil proceedings. There are fees payable for providing this information. We'll confirm those once you get in touch.
If your request is for a different purpose, please provide details when you contact us.
For injury or no-injury collisions please send an email to the Collisions Unit providing details of the request.
You'll need to include the collision reference number in your email. You'll find that on any correspondence you have from the Collisions unit.
If you don't know your reference number, a search of our records can be carried out for a fee. Please email the Collisions Unit for more details.
If your report request relates to a collision which resulted in a road death please email the Serious Collision Investigation Unit providing details of the request.
Requests can be dealt with within a few weeks but some can take months.
Collision accident reports can only be released once the case has been concluded.
Please don't make any payments until you have received a response to your email confirming the relevant fees.
