Wisbech

As one of two Chief Inspectors for neighbourhood policing within Cambridgeshire, I lead the neighbourhood teams across the north of the county (Peterborough and Fenland), overseeing six Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPTs) and two Neighbourhood Support Teams (NSTs).

My Neighbourhood Policing Teams are split with four covering Peterborough, led by two inspectors, and two teams within Fenland which are led by one inspector. Each individual team has a dedicated sergeant, police constables and police community support officers (PCSOs), who are focused on tackling crime, anti-social behaviour and the problems in your area. We work in partnership with local authorities, partner agencies and residents to build stronger, safer communities.

The two Neighbourhood Support Teams consist of a sergeant and PCs, led by an inspector, and primarily focus on tackling county lines and organised crime groups, as well as a wide range of other things to support general neighbourhood policing.

My 18-year policing career started in Peterborough as a response officer before I was promoted to sergeant where I remained in response policing for a short while before moving into force-wide specialist roles. Much of my time was spent on frontline policing in Peterborough and in the Fens, dealing with all manner of calls for service which has put me in good stead to understand and appreciate the challenges in policing these areas, and the responsibility to support the many diverse communities we have.

My experience of policing has taught me that putting the right officers in the right place is key, whilst making sure we are visible, approachable, task-focussed and determined in tackling crime and disorder. My team and I are focused on delivering this through proactive, intelligence-led policing that is rooted in engagement.

I am proud to lead neighbourhood policing in the north, my teams and I are committed to "creating a safer Cambridgeshire" with neighbourhood policing at the heart of everything we do.

I am proud to serve as part of the neighbourhood policing team for Cambridgeshire Constabulary. As the Fenland neighbourhood policing inspector, I hold geographical responsibility for the whole of the Fenland district which covers Wisbech, March, Chatteris, Whittlesey and surrounding areas. I manage two teams which are each made of a sergeant, police constables (PCs) and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), who are all committed to tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, alongside partner agencies to resolve local problems and create meaningful, positive change in our communities.

With more than 24 years of policing experience, I have had the privilege of working across a range of policing areas including operational, neighbourhood policing, intelligence, proactive teams and offender management. This breadth of experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of how to address complex issues and implement effective strategies. I am especially passionate about prevention and using alternate methods of tackling criminality, in conjunction with our partners in the wider justice system.

I joined the police service in 2001 in Greater London, beginning my career as a Response Officer on a busy and highly diverse district, where I developed strong frontline skills and a clear understanding that effective policing is built on community confidence and trust.

I later progressed into specialist roles within a Traffic Department and as a Specialist Intercept Officer. I have supported the policing of nationally significant incidents and events including the 2005 London attacks, the 2011 riots, royal weddings and the 2012 Olympic Games, to name just a few.

In 2018, I transferred to Cambridgeshire Constabulary, where I broadened my experience across response policing, investigation teams and the Northern District Command Cell before moving onto a Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT), where I lead a team of constables and PCSOs covering Wisbech, surrounding villages, towns and rural communities.

As the Wisbech NPT Sergeant, I draw on my proactive, reactive and specialist background. I focus on reducing crime and antisocial behaviour through problem-solving, early intervention and sustained partnership activity, ensuring we deliver clear outcomes and reassure the public.

I'm the sergeant for the Spree Offender Team. We target perpetrators of high-volume crimes such as thefts from shops, non-dwelling burglaries, cycle crime and thefts from vehicles.

I am one the neighbourhood officer for Parson Drove, Newton, Foul Anchor and Tydd St Giles.

I have been employed by Cambridgeshire Constabulary since 2018, spending most of my career attending 999 calls within response policing.

I joined the neighbourhood policing team in Fenland seeking a new challenge to help the local community by aiming to reduce anti-social behaviour (ASB), providing support to vulnerable members of the community and develop intelligence within the area to create a safer Cambridgeshire.

I am the Safer Schools Officer for Fenland North Cambridgeshire.

I joined Cambridgeshire Constabulary in 2009 as a Police Community Support Officer and remained in the role until 2017 when I joined as a police officer. I started out in response policing in Huntingdon before moving to Peterborough.

In 2019 I moved to Neighbourhood Policing covering he south of the city where I remained for four years. During this time, I completed training in the use of taser, method of entry and stinger.

In January 2024 I moved to the Safer Schools Officer role.

I thoroughly enjoy this role, and I am really keen to show young people that despite some interactions with police being negative, such as domestic matters, stop and search etc, we are there to turn to for support and will always look to make a positive impact through the work we do.

I've been with Cambridgeshire Constabulary since 2019. I have spent the majority of my time on the frontline responding to 999 calls, however I also had a year in the Acquisitive Crime Team investigating serious offences such as burglary and robbery.

I moved over to Wisbech Response in 2022 and haven't looked back. I am now excited to be working in Neighbourhood Policing Team which gives me the opportunity to get to know the people of the town better and help make the streets an even safer place to be.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Elm, Friday Bridge, Coldham and Christchurch.

I have been on the Wisbech neighbourhood team since 2008, where I spent 13 years as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) before rejoining the force as a PC in 2021 and returning to the Wisbech NPT.

In the 13 years I had built many relationships and gained a lot of knowledge, which has continued now that I have changed roles.

My role within the neighbourhood team consists of developing intelligence, patrols of targeted areas and working alongside partner agencies, this also includes supporting the vulnerable within the community.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Wisbech St Mary, Leverington and Tydd Gote.

I have worked for Cambridgeshire Constabulary since 2008 where I spent the first couple of years as a response officer in Peterborough before moving to the response team in Fenland. I have worked in the Fenland Neighbourhood Policing Team since 2021 within the Wisbech team.

My main role is developing intelligence provided by the community, carrying out proactive patrols in hotspot areas, targeting offenders and working with partner agencies.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Guyhirn, Murrow, Gorefield, Rings End and Throckenholt.

I have been employed with Cambridgeshire Constabulary since 2019 and have been working within the Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team for the last 10 months.

Within my role I carry out proactive patrols in areas that are affected by anti-social behaviour (ASB) and target those causing the issues, arresting if required or signposting them to further support. I also work with partner agencies to resolve issues that affect the community I work within and try to find long-term solutions to keep the community safe.

I began my policing career in 2012 in Cambridgeshire, before transferring to Hertfordshire for a couple of years. I returned to Cambridgeshire with the Cambridge City Neighbourhood Policing Team, before moving to the team in Wisbech. The majority of my years have been working on response, before a brief year working for the Serious Crime Team and then to the neighbourhood team.

I've been a PCSO since September 2015 and am one of three PCSOs who cover the Fenland district.

My patrol area covers from Tydd St Giles to Christchurch, where you will see me out and about on patrol or attending community events and visiting victims of crime.
