I currently lead the Neighbourhood Policing teams across the Southern Policing area of Cambridgeshire Constabulary. My portfolio includes oversight of our dedicated teams in East Cambridgeshire, South Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Cambridge City, where I lead a group of committed inspectors, sergeants, PCs and PCSOs focused on tackling crime and building stronger, safer communities.

My policing career began more than two decades ago, and I’ve proudly served the people of Cambridgeshire ever since. When I joined the force as a constable I spent some of the most formative years of my career as a Community Beat Manager in Peterborough, that’s old money for Neighbourhood Policing Officer. That experience grounded me in the values that still guide my approach today — visibility, approachability, engagement, problem solving and listening to the concerns of local people. It’s where I learned that building trust isn’t just a part of policing; it is policing.

Community policing is something I’m deeply passionate about. I firmly believe that the most effective way to prevent crime and protect the vulnerable is by working closely with residents, local authorities, and partner agencies. My team and I are focused on delivering proactive, intelligence-led policing that is rooted in engagement, prevention, and problem-solving.

Over the years, I’ve seen the challenges faced by our communities evolve, but what remains constant is the public’s desire for a police service that is responsive, fair, and compassionate. I’m proud to lead officers who embody those values every day.

I remain committed to Creating a Safer Cambridgeshire and to ensuring neighbourhood policing continues to be at the heart of everything we do.

I lead four dedicated teams of police officers covering the city centre and west, north, east, and south wards of Cambridge. Together, we focus on making our communities safer, more resilient, and better connected through effective, visible, and compassionate policing.

I’ve served in Cambridgeshire Constabulary since 2009, and in that time, I’ve gained a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to the people who live and work here. Before taking on my current role, I spent more than four years as a neighbourhood Sergeant in the north of the city, an experience that cemented my belief in the power of being approachable, visible, engaging and listening, and that neighbourhood policing can be a proactive force for positive change.

Community policing is a commitment. By working in partnership with local residents, businesses, schools, and partner agencies to tackle the root causes of crime and anti-social behaviour, I have experienced first-hand how strong relationships between local officers and the communities they work in, can lead to real improvements in people’s day-to-day lives. Whether it’s supporting vulnerable individuals, addressing concerns raised by local people, or making sure our streets remain safe and welcoming, I’m passionate about delivering policing that is responsive, respectful, and inclusive.

Cambridge is a unique and diverse city, and I remain committed to encouraging my team to remain approachable, accountable, and to constantly improve how we work together for a safer city.

I cover the north of Cambridge, including Arbury, Chesterton and Kings Hedges.

I started my policing career as a Special Constable in 2015 and soon joined up as a regular in 2017. Like all officers, I started out on response learning the ropes, attending immediate grades and being the first port of call to the public when they need help. After a couple of years, I moved into South Cambridgeshire neighbourhoods, as I wanted to be able to get stuck into problems and take longer term approaches to resolve them. I really enjoyed this role and only left it as the opportunity to further my career came up, and I moved back to response policing to gain my sergeant stripes.

Once becoming a fully substantive sergeant, I knew that I wanted to get back to community policing, and I took on the role that I currently hold and have been in post for the last two years. I am passionate about neighbourhood policing, it’s a very rewarding role where you get the chance to make real positive change.

I am the neighbourhood officer for King’s Hedges and West Chesterton wards.

I joined Cambridgeshire Constabulary in 2019 and started my career in Huntingdon on response. This gave me experience of the fast-paced variety of front-line policing, attending 999 calls and investigating crime.

After two years an opportunity came up to join neighbourhoods in Cambridge City. I was interested in learning about the longer-term community work police do alongside partner agencies. I became University Liaison Officer, working alongside ARU and Cambridge University. I also became a Police Liaison Officer for protests. Cambridge City is a diverse and exciting place, with a transient and ever- changing population ranging from students to tourists to professionals. I was involved in a wide array of work – with partners making the night-time economy a safe and inclusive place, pursuing repeat offenders of retail crime and bike thefts, doing Fresher’s talks, engaging with protesters, and engaging with students who had been victims of crime.

After two years I decided to experience a new area and develop my proactive skills, and I moved to the City North team in 2024. As the team covers predominantly residential area our work involves lots of long-term engagement with community groups and schools and really getting to know the individuals who live in our area. I am passionate about building bridges with different communities and building the public’s trust with the police.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Arbury and West Chesterton wards.

I have more than 13 years of dedicated service in policing, I bring a wealth of frontline and community experience to my role. I spent the first seven years of my career in emergency response, handling a wide range of critical incidents and developing a strong foundation in operational policing. Over the past six years, I have worked in various roles within neighbourhood policing teams, where I’ve developed a deep commitment to community engagement and proactive problem-solving.

My professional passion lies in safeguarding the most vulnerable members of our society. I have consistently sought out opportunities to support those at risk and to disrupt the activities of individuals and groups who seek to exploit them. This passion has led to my significant involvement in 'Operation Corduroy'—a targeted initiative aimed at identifying, investigating, and targeting groups and individuals that prey on the vulnerable. My work within this operation has included multi-agency collaboration, intelligence-led enforcement, and victim-focused interventions.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a proactive and empathetic approach to policing, balancing enforcement with support and prevention. Whether responding to emergencies or working closely with local communities, I strive to make a meaningful difference by building trust and delivering effective safeguarding outcomes.

My long-term goal is to further enhance safeguarding practices within the service and ensure that every vulnerable person has access to the protection and support they deserve.

I am the neighbourhood officer for King’s Hedges and Arbury wards.

I started working on response in 2018 based in Cambridge city centre. After five years of gaining experience and skills, I then decided to join neighbourhoods in the north of the city. I enjoy the proactive side of patrolling the area, completing warrants and nuisance vehicles as well as educating the youth of today in schools and at public events. Alongside neighbourhood policing I am also an operational football officer at Cambridge United based at the Abbey Stadium and on the road on away days.

I truly believe that community engagement is key to policing, so if you see me out and about make sure to say hello.

I am the neighbourhood officer for Kings Hedges, Arbury and East and West Chesterton wards.

My policing career began more than 20 years ago, and I’ve proudly served the people of Cambridgeshire ever since. When I joined Cambridgeshire Constabulary as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO), I predominantly patrolled the beat area of East Cambridgeshire. During that time, I forged many relationships with the communities that I served, some relationships I still hold today. My emphasis surrounded visibility and community engagement. I joined the regular police in 2008 and spent my first five years response policing in Cambridge city. I then moved back to East Cambridgeshire completing more years in response and investigations. Having moved back into Cambridge in a training role in 2020 I then decided in 2024 that I wanted a more public facing, community-based role, so I decided to join the neighbourhood policing team.

Community policing is something I enjoy a lot. I enjoy meeting new people, patrolling my area and attending community events. I also enjoy problem solving and targeting offenders that cause issues within my beat area.
I firmly believe that the most effective way to prevent crime and protect the vulnerable is by working closely with residents, local authorities, and partner agencies. I am focused on delivering a proactive, prevention, and problem-solving approach to my daily activities.

If you see me about, please say hello, I am more than happy to chat.

I am a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) within the neighbourhood policing team based out of Parkside Police Station. I initially joined in 2009 working in the north of the city. I left in 2022 to pursue something different but rejoined and picked up where I left off!

I enjoy all aspects of community policing. I have a freedom to engage with anyone and everyone about anything. I engage with residents, partner agencies, community centres, nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools, local councillors, vulnerable people, places of worship just to give a few examples with the whole aim of listening to people’s individual or community concerns and resolving or assisting with issues and problems that they might be experiencing or have been witnessing.

I like, as part of my role, that sometimes I can just simply be a friendly face to see and chat to that has nothing to do with policing but can make a difference to a person.

I am passionate about being a proactive high visibility presence in problem areas that are intelligence led by the local community. I believe that simply being there in that problem area and being seen is still a very effective way of preventing crime, reducing anti-social behaviour, and protecting vulnerable individuals and communities.

I remain committed and enthusiastic to working as part of a neighbourhood team that aims to keep Cambridgeshire safe.
