A woman who stole coats, chocolate, duvets and cat food during a string of thefts has been jailed.
Lisa Bradley, 42, of Chesterton Road, Cambridge, stole £1,104.85 worth of goods between 29 September and 11 October.
Bradley stole a £140 case of M&S chocolate from BP in Teversham before going on to steal a backpack from Typo and hundreds of pounds worth of clothing from Superdry.
She also stole two duvets worth £150 from Next and a parcel containing 84 pouches of cat food, worth £82, from outside a home in Molewood Close.
At Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday (23 October), Bradley was sentenced to a year and eight weeks in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of shop theft and one count of theft.
PC Laura D’Urso, from the Spree Offender Team, said: “Bradley repeatedly stole from businesses across Cambridge, taking more than £1,000 worth of goods in less than two weeks.
“Shop theft is not a victimless crime and we know the impact repeated offending can have on businesses and their staff. We will continue to target those who steal from businesses.”
