A woman who forced her way into a neighbour’s flat armed with a knife has been jailed for more than two years.
Donna Lloyd, 52, approached the door of the flat in London Road, Peterborough, at about 10.30am on 25 August last year.
The victim opened the door to the flat but swiftly shut it again in Lloyd’s face.
Lloyd began shouting, produced a knife from her sleeve and persistently banged on the door.
When the neighbour opened the door again, Lloyd forced her way in brandishing the knife and a scuffle ensued. She was disarmed and left the flat before the alarm was raised and police arrived.
Lloyd, of London Road, was arrested and her flat was searched, where officers found a small quantity of cannabis and cocaine.
She admitted aggravated burglary, using violence to enter a premises, possession of a knife in public, possession of cocaine and possession of cannabis.
On Wednesday (18 February) at Cambridge Crown Court she was jailed for 27 months.
DC Lisa Flatters said: “Lloyd’s behaviour that day was completely unacceptable.
“This was a frightening incident for the occupants of the flat, who were confronted in their own home by Lloyd armed with a knife.
“I’m pleased she was apprehended and has now appeared in court.”
