An Albanian drug dealer who was caught with cocaine in Cambourne has been jailed.
At about 9.45pm on 10 May 2024, officers were on patrol when they began following a black Audi A4 on the A1198, travelling from Caxton to Cambourne. Information suggested the vehicle was involved in drug dealing.
The car was followed into Cambourne, where it stopped on Mosquito Road.
The driver, Ervin Cerpia, 33, of Grange Park, Swindon, was spoken to by officers about his presence in Cambourne.
He was detained for a drug search and 21 bags of cocaine, with a street value of around £840 were found in his car.
At Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (24 April), Cerpia was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison after previously pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of drugs.
PC James Good, who investigated said: “This proactive stop based on intelligence led directly to the seizure of drugs intended for supply in our communities.
“We remain committed to disrupting drug dealing across Cambridgeshire and will take action against those who bring harm through the supply of illegal substances.”
