A drug dealer who hid 19 bags of cocaine in a cigarette packet has been jailed.
Police were on patrol on 7 July when they pulled over a black Ford Kuga, in Elizabeth Way, Cambridge, and searched the driver, Jurgen Zyberaj.
The 23-year-old, of Newmarket Road, Cambridge, was found with £1,040 cash in his trouser pocket. The cocaine was found in a cigarette packet in the car along with 20 bags of cannabis edibles.
At Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday (9 October), Zyberaj was sentenced to two years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis and possession of criminal property.
Detective Constable Samuel Andrews, who investigated, said: “Zyberaj thought by hiding the drugs, we wouldn’t find them. This sentence sends a clear message that drug dealing will not be tolerated in our communities.”
