Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision near Christchurch on Friday (15 August).
A black and green Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle and a blue Seat Leon were in collision at just after 3pm at the junction of the B1098 and Padgetts Road.
The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old man from St Ives, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with serious injuries, where he remains.
The Seat driver, a 44-year-old man from Whittlesey, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail to return to Thorpe Wood police station on 15 November.
Det Sgt Craig Wheeler said: “We are appealing for the public’s help to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident. We believe that at least other two vehicles may have been in the vicinity at the time, and we have not yet spoken to their occupants.”
Anyone with information or dashcam footage should report it through the force website quoting op Stepney. Anyone without internet access should call 101.
