A man has appeared in court in connection with distraction burglaries in Paston.
The 46-year-old was arrested at his home in Gunthorpe on Monday night (27 February) following reports of two distraction burglaries at the home of an elderly man in Bartram Gate, Paston, on Saturday and Sunday (25 and 26 February).
He has since been charged with two counts of burglary including theft of £320 in cash and a mobile phone, as well as impersonating a police officer.
He appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday) where he was remanded in prison to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 27 March.
