It is alleged that PC 2071 Awuah Breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour as set out in Schedule 2 of the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020, to the level of Gross Misconduct of listed below:

Allegation 1
In May 2021, PC Awuah submitted a notifiable association stating no ongoing contact with Mr D since July 2020. Evidence indicates regular contact between May and October 2024 via messaging. No updated notification was submitted despite this change. It is alleged this breached the relevant Notifiable Association policy.
Allegation 2
Following the refusal of two business interest applications in May 2021, it was identified that PC Awuah sold items online between December 2022 and April 2024. No further business interest was declared. It is alleged this breached the Business Interest and Secondary Employment procedure.
Allegation 3
In September 2020, PC Awuah received a £5,000 bounce back loan for a business. It is alleged that information submitted in the application regarding turnover was inaccurate and that the funds were not used solely for business purposes
Allegation 4
Between 2018 and 2023, PC Awuah received over £20,000 through online sales. Records indicate no corresponding self-assessment tax returns were submitted for this income. It is alleged this represents a failure to comply with tax obligations.
The Hearing will take place at 10am on Monday 22 June 2026, in person only, at Lysander House, Station Road, Tempsford, SG19 2AX
