Arrests by nationality

I write in connection with your request for information received on 3rd December.  I note you seek access to the following information:

I would like to request data on the number of arrests made in your PFA, by nationality and – if possible – type of offence.

Please provide the number of arrests for the following nationality groups: UK/Ireland; EEA; Non-EEA.

In addition to providing a figure for all types of offence, please provide figures for the following categories, if possible: violence; theft; robbery; drugs; sexual offences; fraud; other.

Please provide this information for the year to June 2024.

Clarification Received

Just to clarify my request, submitted yesterday, please provide figures for the period 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024.

If nationality information cannot be grouped into the categories UK/Ireland; EEA; and Non-EEA, please provide information for each individual nationality.

I am required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act) to handle all requests in a manner that is blind to the identity of the requestor. Any information released in response to a request is regarded as being published and therefore, in the public domain without caveat.

Please Note: The below data relates to 9907 distinct arrests (people being arrested on distinct occasions) but the total is number of offences is higher at 12353. This is because some people are arrested for more than 1 type of offence.
