Request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 Ref No: FOI2025/06019
I write in connection with your request for information received on 11th July. I note you seek access to the following information:
1 – The number of Police officers and staff from your organisation that have died by suicide or suspected suicide (where coroner reviews have not been completed yet) each year from 2010 to 2025.
2 – Of those, how many died whilst on duty each year from 2010 to 2025.
3 – How many of those who died by suicide or suspected suicide from your organisation were under Professional Standards Department/Directorate of Professional Standards or IOPC investigation each year from 2010 to 2025.
4 – The number of suicides or attempted suicides from your organisation attend where the subject was a Police Officer or staff member each year from 2010 to 2025.
5 – The number of suicide attempts by Police officers or Police staff from your organisation each year from 2010 to 2025.
I am required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act) to handle all requests in a manner that is blind to the identity of the requestor. Any information released in response to a request is regarded as being published and therefore, in the public domain without caveat.
Response - Following your request, searches were conducted at Cambridgeshire Constabulary for information relating to police officers and staff that have died by suicide or suspected suicide.
Please note that the cause of death is not held on the HR system therefore these searches failed to locate any records / documents relevant to your request.

Accordingly, I have determined that Cambridgeshire Constabulary do not hold the information you have requested.
