Online or social media abuse, depending on the circumstances, can be reported online.
We recommend that if an abusive comment has been left publicly, you initially make a report to the social media platform you are using (e.g. Facebook, Twitter / X, Instagram). They may be able to simply remove the content and/or close down the person's account.
If the messages are persistent and you believe they qualify as harassment (causing some alarm or distress), you can report it to us online using the button below.
If threats or abuse have been received online, indecent images have been uploaded of you, or you have received online messages which are grossly offensive, obscene, threatening or menacing, always report it to us online.
