A prolific shoplifter has been banned from a number of Cambridgeshire stores following his persistent shoplifting.
Sam Timbers, 32, of Fen Road, Cambridge, was handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (11 March) which bans him from entering any Co-Op, Aldi, H&M, Next or Zara stores in Cambridgeshire.
The CBO follows his latest conviction where he was sentenced to 40 weeks in prison last month after pleading guilty to five counts of theft and activating a suspended sentence.
Sergeant Dan Scott, from the Spree Offender Team, said: “Criminal behaviour orders are another tool we can use to help better protect the community from repeat offenders.
“I hope this order provides reassurance to Cambridgeshire’s retailers and employees and it will deter the behaviour of Timbers in the future.”
