A man who led police on a pursuit and drove dangerously at speeds of up to 120mph has been jailed.
Griseld Halili, 24, was driving a black Audi A3 on the westbound A14, near Godmanchester, at about 7.20pm on 8 November, when road policing officers noticed he was speeding.
Checks also found the vehicle had no insurance and no current keeper so the officers tried to pull it over.
However, Griseld continued to drive at speed and failed to stop before suddenly turning onto the A45 at the Thrapston junction.
Griseld undertook vehicles and overtook on blind bends over solid white lines.
He carried on driving on the A45 before braking sharply and stopping in a layby near Stanwick Lakes, where he was arrested.
On Wednesday (8 January), at Peterborough Crown Court, Halili, of Hagley Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, was jailed for eight months, having pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, failing to stop, using a vehicle with no insurance and driving with no licence.
He was also disqualified from driving for two years and two months.
PC Alan Stanford said: “Griseld’s driving put innocent motorists in serious danger so I’m glad he’s been jailed.
“We will do everything in our power to keep the roads safe from dangerous drivers.”
