A woman has been jailed for her part in a “vicious attack” that left a man in hospital.
Kayley Sedgwick, 33, went to Bloomfield Park in Huntingdon on 28 June last year with another man.
Together they attacked the victim, causing him to fall to the ground, where they repeatedly kicked him to his head and stamped on him.
The victim, a man in his 60s, went to hospital for treatment to injuries including a broken wrist.
When Sedwick was arrested on 1 August last year in Ermine Street, Huntingdon, she made a comment to a man at the property naming the victim before officers had revealed his identity.
She later tried to explain what happened by describing a verbal altercation with the victim earlier in the day.
Yesterday (2 September) at Cambridge Crown Court Sedgwick, of no known address, pleaded guilty to assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
At the same hearing she was jailed for 32 months.
DC Matthew Filby said: “This was a vicious attack and the injuries sustained by the victim could easily have been much worse given the level of violence.
“We will not tolerate violence like this on our streets and we will continue to do all we can to make Cambridgeshire an even safer place to live.”
