Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Fenstanton.
A man entered the Post Office, in Rookery Place, armed with what appeared to be a handgun at just before 9pm on Thursday (12 September).
The man pointed the weapon at the cashier behind the counter and then towards the till and signalled for her to empty it.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, managed to shut the till and run to the back of the premises. No items were taken.
Detective Sergeant James Rabbett, who is investigating, said: “This was an extremely frightening experience for the victim and I’m keen to hear from anyone who has information or who recognises the man pictured.”
