A prolific shoplifter has been given a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order.
Daniel Robinson, 39, of Histon Road, Cambridge, was handed the order at Peterborough Crown Court yesterday (8 October), banning him from Flannels in King Street and Teversham BP Garage on Newmarket Road.
He is also banned from any Co-Op within Cambridgeshire.
Robinson previously pleaded guilty to assault, theft from a motor vehicle and 17 counts of theft between 21 May and 28 July where he stole items including handbags, clothing, laundry products, coffee and honey from Flannels, Teversahm BP Garage, Sainsbury’s in Mill Road, Hugo Boss in Market Hill and multiple Co-Op stores.
Sergeant Dan Scott, from the Spree Offending Team, said: “Robinson is a notorious shoplifter who has caused misery to businesses across Cambridge.
“We will continue to work closely with businesses across the city to tackle shop theft and encourage businesses affected to report any breaches, which will be taken robustly by the team and the courts.”
