A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a collision near Sawston over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
The man was cycling southbound on the A1301 when he was involved in a collision with a grey Citroen DS3 coming in the opposite direction at just after 7pm yesterday (27 May).
The 33-year-old man from Sawston was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with life-threatening injuries and is still in a critical condition.
The driver of the Citroen, a woman in her 40s, was uninjured and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage, is urged to contact police via their website quoting incident 399 of 27 May.
Anyone without internet access should call 101 and ask to speak to a member of the Road Policing Unit.
