A Cambridge cocaine dealer has been jailed after eagle eyed cops spotted a drug deal.
Neighbourhood officers were on patrol in Arbury on 15 March when they saw Elsi Hafizi hand over what they suspected was drugs to a woman.
They caught up with Hafizi in Finch Road and he admitted to being in possession of class A drugs.
As well as 14 wraps of cocaine with a street value of more than £500 they found a mobile phone and £170 in cash.
At Cambridge Crown Court today (21 May), Hafizi, 29, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 18 months in prison after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine.
PC Ollie Hagen, from the Neighbourhood Support Team, who investigated, said: “If you are dealing drugs in Cambridge then you have got to expect to be caught. We’ve got teams patrolling the city daily as we continue to tackle drug dealing, an issue which many residents report to us as being a number one concern in the area.”
If you suspect drug dealing in your area, report it online.
