A cocaine dealer who hid his stash of drugs in a sock has been jailed.
Neighbourhood police approached Elis Kola who was parked up in his car on Herbert Street in Cambridge on 9 March last year (2023) after suspecting him of being involved in drug dealing.
Kola, 39, of Lesley Avenue, York, admitted to having drugs and officers found 22 wraps of cocaine worth more than £1,100 hidden in a sock in the door.
At Peterborough Crown Court on Wednesday (22 May), Kola was sentenced to three years in prison after being found guilty of possession with intent to supply cocaine.
Detective Constable Lauren Skinner, who investigated, said: “We will continue to disrupt and dismantle the activities of drug dealers who bring associated crime including violence, theft and burglary to Cambridge.”
