A collision on the A1307 between Linton and Haverhill on Friday evening (15 March) has left two elderly women with life-threatening injuries.
At about 7.30pm a blue Daihatsu Sirion and a blue Nissan Micra were involved in the collision near Horseheath.
Emergency services attended and the road was closed.
The driver and a passenger in the Daihatsu, both women in their 80s, were taken to hospital with serious injuries and both remain in a critical condition.
The driver of the Nissan, a man in his 40s, received serious, but not life threatening, injuries.
