Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of cyclists were left with serious injuries following a collision between Elsworth and Boxworth.
Emergency services were called to Boxworth Road at about 7pm on Thursday.
A blue Renault Clio being driven into Connington Road from Boxworth Road was involved in the collision with seven cyclists travelling towards Boxworth.
A number of them suffered serious injuries and were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.
Other cyclists suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Clio, a man in his 50s from Fenstanton, remained at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
PC Ben Patten, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “This was a nasty crash that has left four cyclists with serious injuries so I am appealing for any information or dashcam footage of it to help with the investigation.”
Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the collision should email PC Patten, through [email protected] using reference number CC-18072024-0448.
Anyone without internet access should call 101.
