A man dealing cannabis in Cambourne has been sentenced.
Police were on patrol in Sterling Way, Cambourne, in April 2022, when they spotted 24-year-old David Martisius sat in a grey Ford Fiesta in the middle of the road.
Martisius tested positive for cocaine and cannabis worth more than £1,200 was found in his vehicle along with two mobile phones. Officers also searched his home in Glebe Lane, Great Cambourne, where £422 in cash was seized.
At Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (16 January), Martisius was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison, suspended for two years, after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis.
PC Christopher Smits from the South Cambridgeshire neighbourhood team, said: “In response to concerns around anti-social driving and anti-social behaviour in Cambourne, the neighbourhood teams are proactively patrolling the area to ensure those causing disruptions in the community are identified and where appropriate, put before the courts.”
