Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was found by the side of a road with serious injuries.
The woman, who is in her 40s and from Cottenham, was found in a ditch in Beach Road at just after midnight today (12 February) after going out for a walk earlier in the evening at about 6pm.
She was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
PC Alex Bond said: “We believe the victim was involved in a collision but the vehicle didn’t stop at the scene.
“It was dark at the time so the driver may not have known they hit someone.
“I am asking anyone who was driving along that stretch of road yesterday evening to please get in touch if they saw anything or have dashcam footage from the area.”
Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the collision, or the moments before or after, should tell us about it through the force website using reference 513 of 11 February.
Anyone without internet access should call 101 quoting the same reference.
