A man who stole steak and mince from Co-Op stores across Cambridge has been jailed.
Joshua Collinson-Prime, 29, of no fixed address, took the goods from stores in Hills Road, Cambridge Square and Bottisham on four occasions between 15 January and 7 February.
He was captured on CCTV and identified by police.
At Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (20 February), he was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to four counts of theft and three breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
His CBO remains in place until June 2024 and states he must not:
Sergeant Dan Scott said: “Collinson-Prime is a prolific thief with a number of thefts against his name. This time in prison will provide some respite to businesses affected by his offending and we hope he takes up the opportunities to get the support he needs.”
