A woman who violently assaulted five people in Sawston has been sentenced.
Jade Rahman, 28, attacked four people in the Greyhound Pub, in Sawston, in October 2022. She punched, kicked, and bit three women, including the landlady, and a bar man and pulled clumps of their hair out before running off.
She then ran down the road screaming, which disturbed two residents who opened their door. Rahman claimed she was in trouble and someone was trying to kidnap her, so the couple let her in.
Once inside, she began attacking the man, punching him in the face, causing a nosebleed, and kicking him in the stomach.
Officers arrived at the scene and quickly arrested her.
Rahman, of Birdie Walk, Northstowe, near Cambridge, later pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and one of actual bodily harm. She was sentenced to nine months suspended for 18 months at Huntingdon Law Courts yesterday (7 August) and ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
Detective Constable Daniel Knight, who investigated, said: “Rahman’s violent outburst was truly abhorrent and horrendous.
“She unleashed a tirade of unprovoked abuse and violence towards five innocent people, including one man in his own home who was trying to help her.
“This behaviour is completely unacceptable.”
