A Cambridge shoplifter has been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order.
Robert Muttock, 31, of no fixed address, was given the two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Friday (12 April).
The CBO prevents him from entering any Sainsbury’s, Co-Op or John Lewis store within the boundary of the M11, A11 or A14.
It follows his latest conviction for theft in March where he was sentenced to seven months in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges of shoplifting.
Sergeant Dan Scott, from the Spree Offending Team, said: “Muttock is a prolific shop thief. We hope this order will make him think twice before reoffending upon his release from prison or face the consequences of further time behind bars.
“We continue to work closely with businesses across the city to tackle shop theft and encourage businesses affected to report any breaches, which will be taken robustly by the courts.”
