Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in St Ives yesterday (10 May) left a motorcyclist in a serious condition in hospital.
At about 3.30pm police were called to reports of a collision involving a blue Yamaha and a black Hyundai i30 on the A1123, at the junction with Morrisons.
The driver of the black Hyundai did not stop at the scene.
Officers and paramedics attended and the man who was riding the motorcycle was taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
A 27-year-old man from Swavesey was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision. He has been released on bail until 10 August.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or believes they saw the vehicles, should contact the Road Policing Unit via webchat or by calling 101 quoting incident 344 of 10 May.
