We have cordoned off an area of Hartford following the discovery of a suspicious device at a home.
A 999 call was made to us at about 12.15pm this afternoon (Saturday), reporting the discovery of a suspicious device in the garden of a home in Desborough Avenue, Hartford, near Huntingdon.
Emergency services are at the scene and have cordoned off the area while they await Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) to assess and dispose of the device.
The cordon includes the junction of Mayfield Road and Desborough Road, and the junction of Desborough Road and Hartford Main Street (B1514).
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
An update will be published via @HuntsCops on Twitter.
