Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on the A10.
At about 11.15pm last night (8 February) a DAF truck travelling south on the A10, close to the A14 Milton junction, was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
Emergency services were called but sadly the pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene.
The road remains closed in both directions at this time and is likely to remain closed for some time.
Sergeant Ian Leeson, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “A man has lost his life and I am appealing for the public’s help in trying to piece together what has happened.
“As well as witnesses and dashcam footage of the collision, I would also like to hear from anyone who drove along the A10 in the hour leading up to the collision and may have seen the pedestrian.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or call 101 quoting incident 527 of 8 January.
