Teenager charged in connection with Peterborough burglary series

A teenage boy has been charged with 27 offences in connection with a burglary series in Peterborough.

The 14-year-old from Hampton Vale was initially arrested in March this year.

On Friday, he answered police bail and was charged with 27 offences relating to incidents across Orton and Hampton:

1. Theft of a motor vehicle – namely a US Kia Telluride motorcycle from Oliver Road, Hampton Vale, on 8 February
2. Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Coriander Drive, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
3. Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Coriander Drive, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
4. Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Coriander Drive, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
5. Interfering with a motor vehicle with intent to steal in Coriander Drive, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
6. Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Goldcrest Way, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
7. Burglary including theft of tools in Goldcrest Way, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
8. Interfering with a motor vehicle with intent to steal in Jones Hill, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
9. Burglary including theft of tools in Albert Crescent, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
10. Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Hewitt Close, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
11. Attempted burglary with intent to steal in Hewitt Close, Hampton Lakes, on 16 March
12. Interfering with a motor vehicle with intent to steal in Borthwick, Orton Wistow, on 24 March

He has been bailed with conditions not to enter Orton and has a curfew to be at his home between 7pm and 7am.

He is due to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on 26 October.
