Ninth person charged following aggravated burglary

A ninth person has been charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Peterborough in August.

Police were called at just gone 4am on 4 August with reports of a disturbance at a house in Sheringham Way, Orton Longueville.

The 25-year-old woman from Croydon was arrested in Enfield, Greater London, by officers from the force’s Acquisitive Crime Team (ACT) on 6 October, and released on police bail, however she was re-arrested in Wood Green, London, on Friday morning (14 October).

On Saturday (15 October) she was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of a firearm without a licence.

She appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court the same day, where she was remanded in prison to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 7 November.

Eight other people have been charged and remanded in prison in connection with the incident, however charges against one man have since been dropped.

  1. 29-year-old man from Peterborough, charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and acquiring criminal property – charges since dropped at court/discontinued

  2. 32-year-old woman from South Tottenham, Greater London, charged with robbery, possession of offensive weapons in a public place, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of criminal property – next in court on 25 October

  3. 25-year-old man from Essex, charged with robbery, possession of offensive weapons in a public place, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, dangerous driving and driving without insurance – next in court on 25 October

  4. 25-year-old man from Brent Cross, Greater London, charged with robbery, possession of offensive weapons in a public place, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence – next in court on 25 October

  5. 21-year-old man from Hull, East Yorkshire, charged with robbery, possession of offensive weapons in a public place, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence – next in court on 25 October

  6. 25-year-old man of no fixed address, charged with robbery, possession of offensive weapons in a public place, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, two counts of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possession of criminal property – next in court on 25 October

  7. 38-year-old man from Peterborough, charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and acquiring criminal property – next in court on 25 November

  8. 27-year-old man from Enfield, Greater London, charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of cocaine - next in court on 7 November
