Man in court following Wisbech robberies and thefts

A man is due to appear in court today (Monday 14 March) in connection with robberies and thefts in Wisbech.

The 19-year-old from Wisbech was arrested in Victoria Road yesterday afternoon (Sunday 13 March).

He has since been charged with:

• Theft of a pedal cycle from outside Asda in North End on 5 March
• Theft from Asda, North End, between 5 and 10 March
• Robbery at Harecroft Stores, Harecroft Road, including theft of cash, on 7 March
• Possession of a knife in a public place, namely Harecroft Road, on 7 March
• Robbery of a woman, including theft of a mobile phone, in Union Street on 9 March
• Possession of a knife in a public place, namely Victoria Road, on 13 March

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court today.
