Re-appeal following violent attack in Peterborough

11 May 2021

Detectives have released CCTV images in a re-appeal for information after a man was assaulted in Peterborough.

Members of the public called police at 10pm on Tuesday, 4 May, with reports of a man unconscious in Crawthorne Road, Eastfield, Peterborough.

The man was rushed to hospital and found to have several skull fractures and a bleed on the brain. He currently remains in a stable condition.

Officers have now released new images of two cars and two men they would like to speak to in connection with the attack.

Detective Inspector Nick Stubbs said: “This was a nasty assault, which initially left the victim fighting for his life.

“We know from CCTV footage that the road was really busy at the time of the incident and dozens of cars drove past and some members of the public stopped to help.

“I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information, to get in touch if they haven’t done so already.

“The Renault Megane that is pictured also appears to have quite distinctive alloy wheels which members of the public may remember.”

Information can be passed on via the online webchat function or those without internet access should call 101 quoting incident 473 of 4 May. If a crime is in action, always dial 999.
