Police secure three-month closure order

20 Jul 2021

Police in Cambridge have secured a full closure order on an address in the city following complaints about anti-social behaviour.

The closure order on 86 Scholars Court, Harrison Drive, was granted at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court yesterday (19 July), and lasts for three months.

During that time no-one is permitted to remain or enter the address.

The application was made following numerous reports from neighbours around anti-social behaviour which was having a detrimental effect on the community.

PC Adam Catling from the Cambridge neighbourhood team, said: “We hope this closure order will provide some respite from the ongoing issues suffered by neighbours and improve the residents’ quality of life within the local community.

“We will not tolerate this type of behaviour so if you have any information about anti-social behaviour in your neighbourhood, report it to us.”

The closure order states the property be closed in accordance with the Anti-Social Behaviour and Policing Act 2014 until 18 October. If anyone is found on the premises unlawfully they render themselves liable to arrest.
