Appeal for information following sexual assault

POLICE are appealing for information following reports that a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in Cambridge yesterday (Thursday, 26 October).

The incident happened between 7.50pm and 8.10pm in Victoria Avenue.

The 13-year-old victim was walking along Victoria Avenue towards Maids Causeway when she was surrounded by four youths who assaulted her.

Detective Sergeant Anthony Grief said: “The girl has been left extremely distraught by what has happened.

“I would urge anyone who may know who is responsible for this crime to contact police immediately.”

All four youths are described as between 16 and 20, 5’8” to 6’1” with brown hair and spoke with English accents. One is described as stocky and the other three slim.
