REQUEST UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 Ref No: FOI2019/04228

I write in connection with your request for information received on 1st July. I note you seek access to the following information:

I wanted to source the information requested below related to malicious damage and abstraction of electricity. FOI to UK police forces:

1. For each of the following periods, please state how many cases were investigated related to the “Malicious Damage Act 1861” in a property:

  • 2017
  • 2018
  • 2019 (January to June)

 

2. For each of the following periods, please state how many cases were investigated related to the “Theft Act 1968: Section 13 (for abstraction of electricity)”:

  • 2017
  • 2018
  • 2019 (January to June)

3. For each of the following periods, please state how many of these investigations related to the “Theft Act 1968: Section 13 (for abstraction of electricity)” were suspected to be for the cultivation or manufacture of illegal drugs:

  • 2017
  • 2018
  • 2019 (January to June)

Clarification - 1. For each of the following periods, please state how many crimes were recorded for criminal damage of a residential property:

  • 2017
  • 2018
  • 2019 (January to June)

2. For each of the following periods, please state how many cases were investigated related to the “Theft Act 1968: Section 13 (for abstraction of electricity)”:
