I write in connection with your request for information received on 17th June. I note you seek access to the following information:
I would like the racial breakdown/data in relation to all knife crime for 2018. That is victims by race and perpetrators by race. This can also include arrests made of suspects without any conviction.
I am required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act) to handle all requests in a manner that is blind to the identity of the requestor. Any information released in response to a request is regarded as being published and therefore, in the public domain without caveat.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary has conducted a search of our crime recording system for all victim and suspects on crimes involving a knife or other sharp instrument and crimes with the Home Office Code 10D Possession of an article with a blade or point within 2018.
A suspect can be involved in more than one crime therefore they have been counted separately. Please see the attached document.
