Please supply data for the last five years – 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014. Note: if data is only available by financial year please supply this for 2018/19, 2017/18, 2016/17, 2015/16 and 2014/15.
2) The number of reports of “theft of a motor vehicle” over the five years in which the reported incident was suspected to involve a “keyless” entry device, “relay attack” or other similar method of entry. Again, please supply data for the last five years – 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014. I am required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act) to handle all requests in a manner that is blind to the identity of the requestor. Any information released in response to a request is regarded as being published and therefore, in the public domain without caveat.
Cambridgeshire Constabulary does not have a category or flag for keyless car entry therefore we have searched through the incident summary for records containing the keyword “keyless” or phrase “keyless attack”.
