PPI claims

While most payment protection insurance (PPI) claim businesses are legitimate, there have been reports of fraud in relation to PPI claims.

To prevent becoming a victim to PPI claim fraud, you should make the PPI claim directly to your original lender. Genuine PPI claim companies take around 25% of a person’s successful PPI claim and by making the claim yourself, you could save yourself some money, if successful.

Citizens Advice Bureau found people were spending an average of £1,000 in PPI claim fees, when it is something you can do yourself for free.

Visit the Citizens Advice Bureau website for more information and advice on PPI.
