Metal theft

Due to the value of certain metals, theft of such metals has also risen.

Metal theft often happens at derelict sites, buildings, houses, churches, building sites and other places where certain metals are installed.

Commonly, the metals with an increased theft rate are;

  • copper, copper piping and cables
  • gold - catalytic converters from vehicles
  • lead, mostly from roofs and older, heritage buildings.
