Man assaulted over toy car in Peterborough

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Peterborough on Saturday (January 12).

The incident happened at around 3.15pm in a car park behind Thistlemoor Medical Centre in Crown Street.

A 36-year-old man was assaulted after becoming involved in an argument with another man over a toy car.

He suffered minor injuries.

The offender is described as white, aged between 28 and 30, six foot tall with light-coloured hair. He was wearing a green coat, blue jeans and black work boots.

PC James Bowser said: "The area would have been busy at the time of the assault as a football match was taking place nearby.

"I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident."
